Our History
Penta’s story began in the late 1960s when construction leaders and accounting experts came together to solve a growing problem. Contractors needed a reliable way to improve estimating, productivity, and financial accuracy. That spark led to System 5, one of the first technology platforms explicitly built for the construction industry. The vision continued to evolve through decades of innovation and eventually became the modern PENTA platform that serves contractors today.

Director of Operations

Mike Harrnacker
Lead System Engineer
Mike serves as Penta Software’s Lead System Engineer, overseeing internal infrastructure and cloud hosting environments. Drawing on more than 25 years of experience, he brings extensive expertise in AWS, storage, virtualization, and hybrid cloud technologies. He develops secure, scalable infrastructure solutions that improve performance and support Penta’s internal operations and hosted customers. As a technical leader, he mentors the systems engineering team and drives ongoing operational improvements.
